FAQ

Straight answers

What does non-custodial mean?

You control your keys. Smart Wallet does not hold funds for you — software keys stay encrypted on your device, and Ledger keys stay on the hardware.

Is Smart Wallet a Chrome extension?

Yes. It is built as a browser extension wallet. Install it from the official Chrome Web Store listing.

Does it support Ledger?

Yes. Ledger is currently supported for Solana and EVM chains. Sui and Bitcoin are not yet supported with Ledger; we plan to add support for them in a future update. For supported chains, signing happens on your Ledger and its private keys stay on the device.

Which chains are supported?

Software wallets support Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon, Sui, Robinhood Chain, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum One, Optimism, Avalanche C-Chain, and Sonic. Ledger connections currently support Solana and EVM chains; Ledger support for Sui and Bitcoin is planned for a future update. See the chain marquee on Home.

Why aren't my tokens showing?

Get an RPC URL from Helius for the chain you want to use, not just an API key. Paste the RPC URL into that chain's RPC setting in Smart Wallet, press Save, then sync your holdings.

Why don't I see my tokens after sending them to myself or buying them?

Our spam-token protection may place tokens you sent to yourself or bought under Hidden tokens. Open Settings > Manage tokens > Hidden tokens, switch the list to Show, then enable the tokens you want displayed. On EVM chains, you must import the token in Manage tokens before it appears.

Where are my keys stored?

Software wallet secrets are encrypted at rest on your device. With Ledger connected, keys remain on the Ledger — Smart Wallet never custodially holds them.

Can I swap and bridge in the wallet?

Yes. You can swap assets and bridge between supported networks from inside Smart Wallet when a route is available. For Ledger accounts, eligible Solana and EVM transactions are confirmed on the device. Swapping or bridging from a Sui or Bitcoin Ledger account is not available yet; support for those Ledger accounts is planned for a later update.

How do dApps connect?

Via Solana Wallet Standard, EIP-1193, and WalletConnect. Always verify the site URL and review signature requests before approving.

Is there live chat or phone support?

No 24/7 live chat is offered here. Email support at the address below. We will never ask for your seed phrase.

I lost my recovery phrase. Can you recover my wallet?

No. Because Smart Wallet is non-custodial, we cannot reset or recover access without your keys or hardware. Keep offline backups.
